There are many parents who encounter difficulties when their children sleep at night and complain that they sleep late at night. However, you must ensure that your son gets enough sleep as young children need rest.

Not sleeping well not only affects the growth of the children but also their bodies doesn't get the rest they need . They so feel tired, neurotic and a mess making them lose control

7 steps to help you sleep at night:

1. Establish a specific bedtime. Consistency in schedule is important as the child develops a schedule.

2. Choose an activity that will prepare your son every time before bedtime. For example you can read a fairy tale.

3. Make sure that he does not take part in intense activities in the late afternoon but does calmer ones (puzzles, cooking, drawing)

4. Support him in his effort by lying in bed with him at first. Tell him a story, sing to him, pet him to feel safe and calm

5. Do not allow your son to get out of bed and engage in activities other than sleeping. Every time he gets up, calmly tell him to go back to bed. Explain to him that it's time for bed and don't give him any other options.

6. Reward his every effort and reward him when he follows the sleep schedule you set.

7. Reduce or stop napping.

As with any new thing you learn in a child, sleep requires patience and persistence. Be sure that your efforts will bear fruit and you will be able to ensure a sufficient night's sleep for your son and time for your own rest.
