Clean up my toys
My daughter is 4 years old and never cleans up her toys. How can i teach her how not to mess up with her room and toys?
It's important to teach your daughter starting from this age the importance of cleaning and order. Although you are wondering how to convince her to clean up her toys. This may seems difficult but here are some proposals that will definately help you
In particular:
- Be the example : If parents clean up their own mess so kids growing up just coping
- Explain that she is responsible for her toys and should pay attention in order to keep playing with them
- Choose together boxes and storage room in order to store her toys . Also help her by sticker notes in order to remind her where its toy is or stores
- Assist her by showing where to place each toy and personal belongings in order to be in place
Explain her that she can play whenever she wants with whatever she wants as long as everything is in order
Make clear that there are rules for everyone in the family and putting everything in place is one of them. If she breaks that rule she is getting the consequencies
- never give up and getting in order the toys by yourself. IN calm and staightforward tell her ,, i want you to place everything in order.. Now i amay help you but not tomorrow
Reward her attitude so it's clear that what she did is by the rules and next time she'll do the same
Add some magic tricks. Like puting the dolls for nap or using magic cleaning gloves . You van even use a triger song to remind her that she should clean up
Cleaning up and keeping an order is an important skill not only for daily usage but also raising up confidence and independence
