Sharing
My child isn't sharing. What should i do?
Children till 3 years old cannot comprehent the meaning of sharing since they feel they are the center of the world and they own everything. This attitude is normal. After 3 years old child is ready to learn the menaing of sharing
In order to achieve this we help our child:
1. When it's his/her turn will play. Always wait for his/her turn and the game is not lost
Sharing thru miming . Watching everyon esharing can understand the role of sharing and also learns using expressions like thank you , there you are
3. Understand that when not sharing won't be shared
4. 4. Learn to choose when playing with friends which games can be shared and which not
5. When sharing praised
Also:
1. If the child creams and continues not sharing devote some time talking with, about it feelings
2. Explain how important is thinking about the greater good how by sharing everyone is happy
Do not Forget !
Respect your child's need for ownership because when we force it to share we don'y help it develop the skilsl we want. Instead we give false signs
